Why Studio and certificate can differ
Different windows, params, or cache — how to compare honestly.
The certificate records one primary verification run with fixed assumptions. Your Studio run may use different dates, parameters, or symbol — so metrics can differ without either surface being wrong.
Common reasons
- Different backtest window or candle count.
- Parameter changes (EMA periods, position size, etc.).
- Certificate uses primary run; Studio may show your latest private run.
- Return basis: portfolio equity vs sum of trade returns (see certificate assumptions).
When auditing, align symbol, timeframe, params, and window — then compare run hash and trade timestamps if available.
